Good was not good. Location is great service was really good. I would not plan to go there.

Enjoyed a veggie lunch. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was great. Country cooking and nothing tasted like canned food.

Great meat and three daily specials. I had the hamburger steak and it was very good. Service was good and food came out fast.

The food was awesome but the only problem i had with the people who own it was they over charge my debit card then when i confront them about it in a nice way they got loud,rude,and was like it's ain't they fought and they ain't giving me no refund back sad to say i will never and i mean never eat here again.The only reason why i give them a three star cause the cashier was trying to help me with all her might to give me a refund plus she was saying i can keep the food if i would like to.

Never disappoints !

The services here are extremely slow! How long does it take to cook an omelette with grits? It took almost an hour, and the place wasn't even packed. The server could learn some customer service ettiquette as well. Did not ask once were we ok, or need anything. I would not recommend dining in at this establishment.

This restaurant is excellent, and a good value. I came for lunch; and had the lunch special. Salmon croquettes, macaroni and cheese, Cole slaw, and turnip greens along with corn muffins and a cold iced tea to drink. I will eat here again.

Great meat-and-three place, and convenient if you work downtown. Busy on Fridays.

Didn't have much of a selection, server was inattentive and busy. Coffee was old and no creamer.

Food was very good, service was not. We were about to get up to leave when server finally acknowledged us & said she'd be right over. After refilling someone else's tea, getting someone else napkins, & visiting with 2 other tables, she finally returned to take our order. Our food was delivered shortly after & that's the last time she came near our table--though she certainly visited with others. No drink refills; I had been interested in dessert, but no server, so nothing was offered. Lunch was tasty, prepared nicely. Would have been a nice lunch had the service been better.

Basic and solid small town eatery. Good burgers, outstanding fries and a ridiculously large order of onion rings when available. Good prices, quick service. Would go back frequently if we lived in the area.

First time ever reviewing a restaurant, but this needs to be said. Filthy. The smell inside was so terrible I couldn’t eat my food. Smells like wet basement and mold. Floors look like they had never been swept or mopped ever. A black film covered all the tiling. Left sick to my stomach.

I'd visited this restaurant years ago and the food was so delicious. However, today was such a disappointment. The food was bland & so not worth it. Even the tea was disappointing! Needless to say I won't be visiting again. I only gave it two stars because the lady at the counter was pleasant.

Best eating in 3 counties! Breakfast and lunch M-F. I would drive 50 miles to eat here. Down home cooking, fast service and great price. Hurry and get yours!

The food was cold. The staff wasn't rude but don't expect service if you come here. After bringing your drink and food no one comes back to check and see if you need anything else or if everything was ok. The gentleman cleaning the tables was very nice he was trying to refill drinks of those that seamed to be regulars here. Definitely wouldn't stop here again

The Downtowner has been around forever and is always a go to for lunch when I’m in Selma. Never had a bad meal here!

Food was very average, and a bit overcooked. Would not choose to eat there again. Staff was super friendly though.

This was the first place my son and I dined after arriving in Selma as hurricane evacuees out of Florida (from Irma). It was a welcoming experience. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the locals seem nice. Thank you for a nice meal.

Good food

Found this little gem right before driving through town. What a quaint little hometown resturant! Food was very delicious. Has sandwiches, burgers, and mest and 3 kind of place. Onion rings are homemade and delicious!! Big burgers are delicious!! Sweet tea was down right delicious!

Food is always good. Light portions. They seem understaffed at times and do not have time to associate with the patrons. But the food is always good. They do not accept debit or credit cards. Cash or local checks only.
